WHAT IS CANNABINOID MEDICINE?

Posted in Blog | Posted by: | Tagged: | Leave a reply

Reflect on a time when you were sick……. regardless of its severity, what was it that your mind/body wanted to achieve?

It’s a relief of some type that you seek,  right?

When we are sick our mind/body tells us that we need relief.  When we feel pain our mission is to seek relief.

Cannabinoid medicine has proven to be a safe and healthy alternative for people who seek relief.

Your body naturally produces cannabinoids.  So for those people may not have already known that, welcome to a mind that is more open.

Cannabinoids are a diverse set of chemical compounds that bind to special receptors (CB1 and CB2) in the body that make up what is known as the Endocannabinoid System.

CB1 receptors target motor activity, thinking, appetite, short term memory, pain perception and immune cells.

CB2 receptors are mainly found in organs and associated with immunity.

When understanding the Endocannabinoid System, you will discover that cannabinoids can influence a person’s relationship to the external environment.

“Cannabinoid” comes from “cannabis.”  “Endo” comes from “Endogenous” meaning naturally produced inside your body.

No matter how you perceive it or what you call it –  “medical marijuana” or “weed” or “hemp” or “cbd,” – it refers to one thing:  cannabis.

The majority of pharmaceuticals and academic research and development activities investigate the physiological and disease fighting properties of cannabis revolves around understanding of one class of biologically active ingredients, the cannabinoids!

The Endocannabinoid System provides homeostasis within the human body.

Its sole purpose is to maintain a state of balance in the body by regulating our mood, appetite, temperature, immunity, sleep and more.

Shouldn’t each human being have access to such relief when they are sick and suffering?

Cannabinoid medicine has the power of providing ultimate and safe relief to those who suffer.

The more we educate about cannabinoid benefits and the Endocannabinoid System, the sooner lawmakers can legalize cannabinoid medicine across the nation and globe.
